operation cracker barrel

December 2024 - California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas

  • The last mission was one of our larger O-61 operations. It was entitled "Operation Cracker Barrel." The operation included stopping at multiple Cracker Barrel restaurants chosen by God while driving through four different states.

  • First, we would pray for the next area we were going to be driving through (city/town, state). Then, if we saw a Cracker Barrel restaurant while driving, we would pray to confirm that God wanted us to stop. If so, we parked. If not, we kept driving.

  • If we parked, we prayed for the HVT (High Value Target - that only God knew about at the time) and set up the O-61 stealth drop envelope before going in. During this operation, each HVT (except one) ended up being our waitperson. The one exception was a mother of one of the waitpersons. Nevertheless, the LORD did something awesome at each restaurant.

Once inside the location:

  • We would walk to our table while praying for God to introduce us to who He wanted us to meet.
  • After being seated, we would meet our waitperson, make sure to get their name, and then make our food order.
  • When the food arrived, we would say the following: "We normally like to pray before we eat. Is there anything we can pray about for you or your family?" (We have only had one waitperson say no to this question. Also, praying for them in this way is not awkward at all, surprisingly). Next, we would ask if they would like to participate in the prayer with us (about 75% would stay and pray with us.) This is also when we would encourage them, converse with them, talk about God, and discuss their specific needs.
  • After the check was delivered, we would take care of the bill and place the O-61 stealth drop envelope under the signed check as we left.
  • Sometimes, the waitperson would catch up to us, thank us, and let us know how much that gift blessed them. But, our goal was to try to leave undetected so that Jesus would be the only one they could thank in the moment.

Things God did during Operation Cracker Barrel:

  • Once, a waitperson wanted us to pray to God for help with housing (she was living out of a motel). Immediately after the prayer, a person at another table overheard and let us know that she was a housing specialist for an organization in the area. Her sole job was to help people who were struggling to find affordable housing. The waitperson and the housing specialist set up a meeting right there and God answered her prayer immediately! God also helped her with a monetary gift.
  • Additionally, while exiting the restaurant, we asked God if we could see how the HVT responded after receiving the blessing. The LORD instructed us to sit in our vehicle. And it just so happened that we had parked facing toward the restaurant in front of one of a large dining windows. This gave us a clear unobstructed view into the restaurant. Within a couple of minutes, we observed the HVT exit the kitchen. She was met by another female server. The second server gave the HVT a long and caring hug as if to congratulate and comfort her at the same time. After the hug, they both smiled and displayed a gratefulness that we won't soon forget. It was as if God had answered her inmost prayers. After seeing that, we praised Jesus and left the parking lot in awe of God Almighty. It was such a blessing to be a part of what the LORD did that day!

Other blessings God provided during this operation:

  • We prayed for someone's very sick parent
  • God financially provided a way for someone to visit their family during the Christmas holiday
  • God financially provided a way for a person to purchase Christmas gifts for their two children
  • We prayed over an unborn child
  • We encouraged and prayed for a person who was having a difficult time forgiving herself after an abortion
  • God financially provided a way for an HVT to fix their car which had recently broken down (Note: they had previously prayed to God for help)

And the list goes on...

  • Now, we believe the LORD may be calling other Operator 61's to go out and bless more of His people (HVTs). Are you ready for your next mission? Reach out to us if you have any questions or need some ideas on setting up your next operation. We keep things anonymous so that Jesus Christ will receive all the glory.
